Torval Weyr

Weyrbowl
A large lake is situated in the middle of the Weyrbowl and is fed by a river that falls in a waterfall over one side of the Weyr. The Weyr itself is situated in a blown out portion half way down a large dormant volcano. However it is quite protected and safe and three quarters of the Weyr is underground other than the massive open entrance one uses to enter the Weyr.

It houses both the Weyrlings and Candidates; two sections divided by a large set of classrooms in between.

Lower Caverns
This is where the heart of the Weyr is; the hustle and bustle of the kitchens run by it's staff and is where everything is stored.

Dining Cavern
This is where the daily meals are taken; there are several large potbelly fireplaces around the dining cavern for the cooler months and a large buffet table where everything is set out for the residents to pick what they want for that meal.

Infirmary
The home of the sick; injured and dying. This place is run by the talented healers of the Weyr and to one side is a large cavern capable of holding a staggering 30 dragons for the Dragonhealing wing. It is by far one of the largest infirmaries Pern has to offer.
